Queens University appoints Hillary Clinton as vice chancellor

Queens University Belfast, have announced the appointment of US politician, Hillary Clinton as vice chancellor earlier today.

Hillary Clinton, who received an honorary doctorate from the university, will become its eleventh and first female vice chancellor.

The university stated that the Chancellor played three important roles:

A ceremonial role;which had to do with presiding at degree gatherings, an ambassadorial role; which helps give new opportunities to the university as it seeks to fulfill its mission, and finally, an advisory role which is to provide guidance and counsel

Clinton will have a five year term, effective from January 2020
